The people on the ship notice this but since the high ranks are unitologist some see it as the step towards ascention and still want to bring the maker on board the ship, which they eventually do, also a ship manages to escape the planet bringing a necromorph on board, slowly the madness starts to spread on to the ship and aided by the necro the whole crew also starts to die, one of the top unitologist on the ships is actually horrified at this and sabotages the ship in hopes to destroy it and the marker along it, while another runs experiments perfecting the necromorphs. Somehow they got wind of the marker being on a planet called Aegis7 and sent the Ishimura a planet cracker ship with the excuse to mine the planet, via their power and conections they made sure the ship had a ton of unitologist in the crew including high rank positions like the captain itself.Īfter setting up the colony and preparing to start mining the planet they found the marker on a pedestal, upon removing the marker it activated causing madness on the colonists that eventually makes them kill each other/themselves while also mutating death tissue into monsters (necromorphs)
